The night when the moon felt the fullestA Poem by KuhuNagpalA heartfelt one, so dreamy and divine.
•The night when the
Moon felt the fullest I Silky dress; beyond the knees it never went. The Back, beautiful like prison bars. Color; the prettiest hue of pink, Wouldn't they want to go and hide their faces? The stars? Hair; Lovingly laid With pins at random places In a splendid side braid. A fine flower Put up just to the right of the fascinating forehead, Like it was made, petal by petal By the sweet God himself. Feet Tied in a delicate golden pair of slippers Nails painted with The remains of hibiscus. She was looking just like a lustrous fairy; Like she just landed on Earth. II Stature sublime In no time He is just as ready. In his resplendent Coat and pant As black as the crow's beak. Shirt; As white as a statue Greek. With an ideal silk tie A clean shaven jawline Fairly Indescribable. Hair, just so refined Every feature Neatly alined. To tie his shoelaces As he bent Now he was complete and confident. III She was waiting in the balcony Anticipating him. Angelic as the night was She saw a shooting star And made her best wish As he took out his car. He drove, So dreamy; And delightfully. Ardent as the night was He saw the fullest moon of his life, And filled himself with her thoughts. He suddenly stopped on the way And bought a beauteous bouquet; With flowers of all kinds and sorts. As he knew not which one to choose. Which one would be prettier than her, none- he thought. Soon she encountered his sight Her eyes never shined so bright. He stopped and got out of his car And waved a handsome hand at her; Pulchritudinous was his plight. And hers was no less. She ran downstairs at once Ravished was her restlessness. IV He showed her his classy smile And she, Her shy one. A thousand stars Born in that moment Brightest that night the Moon had shun. He took her delicate hand Delicate like a tendril. And Lead her to the passenger seat; opening for her that door. She took her seat She was fascinated inside out. Her excitement Never could she beat. She didn't want to either. V He started the car They started off, She didn't know where to. He caught her staring stunningly at him He held his grand gaze right there She smiled and looked away. His plight so indescribable He could fall down to his knees He could do anything, Be it turning jade a sard. He knew for sure He was falling for her Falling rather hard. She too was feeling exquisite Her reluctant nature not at guard. VI She did not ask him where they were going And she was rather surprised Her pupils dilated and her eyes opened wide She did not regret not asking him As the place was more than just right. She looked left, right and around It was all dark But safe and sound. She looked down There was a never ending extent of green. Finally she looked up And she could see infinite stars And less of the sky; She was melted Mesmerized And never felt so elegant And Divine And as special as the best painter's masterpiece. She cried, Cried hard For she was overwhelmed Her feelings were taken care of And her emotions held. VII He couldn't stand that sight The sight of her crying He carefully wiped her tears away With his hands divine. He took her into his huge and comfortable arms She rested; Refined in them. Closed her eyes tight And of this enticing moment She took a bite. Her fingers entwined in his hair He held her close And closer. Closer than his own soul Like he would never, ever let her go. Time stopped So did every clock For their love so charming. She was his little baby And he was her darling. With all emotions at flow He let it all go And admitted to her- "I love you." She said obliviously Like now was the time she didn't have to hold back anymore; All the feelings her heart bore- "Of course, I love you too; Love you to the core Love you allure". •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• © 2015 KuhuNagpalAuthor's Note
