Jaguar Goddess

Jaguar Goddess

A Chapter by Kuandio

I’ll try to write a poem tonight,

something birthed of this drenching dark.

Its like searching for hidden starlight,

hearing a message of reassurance in the leaves,

rustling in the drowsy winter breeze.

Perhaps it’s a breath from a dream,

conceived by a vast indigo, godlike being,

slumbering in a river valley, under constellations,

swathed in twilight, jeweled quartz, opals, and memories,

far beyond the mountains and world’s atmosphere;

a subconsciousness searching ...

I’ll try to write a poem tonight,

down horizons of faded journeys, echos of parallel lives …

They guide eventually to a singular convergence …

From somber cloud canyons of lost heavens,

an angel descends amid the silence

Closing my eyes, adrift in the void …

The melody is gentle, seductive.

Resting in my car, parked on this city street,

I hear it in the undulating trees above;

with everything they are sighing tonight,

ecstasy, a waterfalls’ moonlit mist,

merging to kiss the sky.

Far down the empty street, I feel her walking;

lithe, purposeful steps, making her way towards me.

Green-blue eyes poised; Her dark elegant figure,

emerges sensuously from the foliage of shadows,

like a jaguar from the night’s depths.

About
I started drawing comics when I was about four or five (not much better than dinosaur stick figures). Over time I found I couldn’t express enough through just drawing and was always adding more.. more..
