False Security

False Security

A Story by Ksummera

The world is cruel. Nobody's safe. When you sit inside a place you can find silence but never space. This world is tainted with terrible people who do horrible things. Things you don't want to see or even imagine. This world is tainted in black with a chemical odor, a thick cloud of smog hangs above. Inside this world you will die. It's not a possible end -it's a definite end. You will never know when or even by whom. All that you'll know is that soon it will too, be you. Where you are now will soon disintegrate with each day break and sunset. Piece by piece your only comfort will slowly crumble down till only a pile of rumble. You'll still be inside while silently screaming. You see, you never made it out because you thought you were safe. You waited and waited and then -  whoosh it all fell. Toppled and rained down. And now your left inside crammed into a hole. Weights of death sit upon your chest and all you can do is move your eyes. You'll look and look and then you'll see. Outside your false security, there I'll be.
