Racing through timeA Poem by ksscamposracing through lifeRacing Through Time These feet are
becoming fatigued I’ve been to hell and
back I’m relatively young But I’ve seen so many
suns Whatever life brings I’ve just passed the
starting point Many time their laps I aim for the sprint
run These feet are
becoming fatigued I’ve covered so much
ground Rushed through my
steps Many trips caused me
to fall I dust myself off Worrying I’d get left
behind The world doesn’t
stop Is rough to keep up
with time The elders sympathize Offering their humble
advice We know what’s right
or wrong So we choose not to
pay any mind When it becomes clear Wrinkles and grays
tell a story of our past We sit around and
contemplate Wishing life didn’t
go by so fast © 2015 ksscampos |
