28 hours (a story of a young black man)A Poem by ksscamposuntil the day, that the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes, me say war -Bob Marley28 hours (story of a young black man)One black man is killed every 28 hours by police in the United States Hands up! Get on the ground! Keep quiet, and don’t turn around I have orders to follow, I am here to serve If you’re black, you get what you deserve Innocent until proven guilty, try again. You’re walking to school? I’ll end with a bang Stand your ground, I stood mine You are on the ground bleeding, and I’ll stage a fight Resisting arrest! Someone I didn’t resist to arrest Looked suspicious carrying your book So I put your soul to rest Turn on the news, lets take another look A young black man, a threat to society Let me unload my gun, end the anxiety A loved one that will never come back A life claimed, because he was black © 2014 ksscamposReviews
