Goodbye Love

Goodbye Love

A Poem by Serendipity

Goodbye my love

maybe i'll see you around,

I remember when we first meet,

how you lifted my feet off the ground.

Goodbye my love

I wish I could forget

how we made love with

passions unrelenting strength.

Goodbye my love

Why did you break my heart?

I gave you all I had,

but you tore it apart.

Goodbye my love

Our love was in vain,

superficial, purely physical,

never deep enough to cure the pain.

Goodbye my love

turn around and walk away,

put miles between us,

there's nothing left here for you to stay.

Excellant flow and meter. Clear and straight forward.

Kudos,

This poem is great. It's direct, and doesn't try to hide the meaning. While reading it, I could just sense the author letting go of their love, though they may not want to. Keep up the good work. =)
