Crying out in desperation

Pushed away in disgust

No one wants the pieces

Of this broken heart

 

Seeking your aid

Being forever denied

So I hardened myself

And became something else

 

Claws formed from suffering

Jagged teeth of misery

Wailing roars of pain

Eyes gone red with tears

 

I rip through life

Tearing apart those in my path

Ruining the lives of everyone

I ever held dear

 

 I can’t stop myself

I’m not in control

You took my soul

And now the world fears me

 

Please save me

From the beast within me

Set me free

From this evil

 

I’m sorry for what I’ve done

But when you look

You will see I’m only

The Monster you made me

Pain often produces anger, and in rage we take revenge for the injuries that have been inflicted on other who may be innocent - who in turn are hurt and may get angry and pass on the pain.
A vicious circle.
Another poem I really enjoyed reading, reminded me of "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace or "Monster" by Skillet in some parts. Keep writing!
