ReflectionA Poem by Krystle QueenIf I could hold you, I wouldn't just hold you. I would hold you delicately, As if you were a mirror that is very fragile. A mirror with understanding Because when I look at you, I see the love I bleed into you And you give it back. A mirror I would admire. For the sharpness of your edges can cut me so deep. A mirror so clean, one smudge could change the view. A mirror only I can see. Because if anyone else looked, they would see the selfishness of their lust. But only I can look Because only I have that true love. Only this mirror shows my true self. Only this mirror can look me in the eyes and tell me that my heart can be shattered with one slip because the person I trusted to hold me didn't hold my mirror but looked in it and at their own deceiving soul. © 2015 Krystle Queen |
