He Walks By

I'm just experimenting with different types of poetry and this is my first Pantoum. I hope you enjoy it!

As he walks by

My heart beats faster

The world stops spinning

I struggle to breath

 

My heart beats faster

He smiles at me

I struggle to breath

So I smile back

 

He smiles at me

The world stops spinning

I try to say hello

As he walks by

It's ok to laugh at this poem, I did when I wrote it but I'm having fun experimenting with different types of poetry.

this is a great meditation one your anxiety. And contrary to finding it funny -although it is that - I found it pretty moving and adorable as well. Its perfect for what it is - and don't think I don't experience the male equivalent like, all the time

I always write about love so the first thing that came to mind was to write about love. I laughed so hard when I wrote this poem, I'm not necessarily falling in love, its the idea of falling in love. I'm so very happy that you enjoyed it.
