![]() Bull RidingA Poem by Krystall![]() Something from my rodeo days.![]() I look into his malice eyes and feel
the panic start to rise. He lets out an angry snort; I have
to keep my eyes on the prize. The fear builds, my legs shake, and
I breathe faster, count to ten. I’m as strong as they are; this
sport is not just for men. My name rings strong and clear, the
crowd grows louder. I step up, swing my leg over this
angry beast and feel his power. The signal is given and they let him
loose, the dance begins. I rock back and forth staying in rhythm,
I feel adrenaline within. The buzzer goes off and I push away
avoiding his anger. My arms rise and I let out the loudest
of victory cries, there’s no danger. The bull goes back for now, but he
will not be defeated. I start shaking once more, that’s it
for this season. © 2014 KrystallAuthor's Note
