An author's Love

I wrote this trying to capture what it is for me to be a writer. I seem to be the most inspired to write during the fall.

Autumn air,
cool and crisp
brings a solitude
in which to reflect.

Voices come unbidden
characters await my pen stroke
to give them life
as frost settles on the ground.

This is my harvest
I pick the best fruits
of my mind's creation
and settled under a blanket,
a cup of tea and pen in hand
I greet these new friends.
I display their souls on paper
and share them with the world.
