Forlorn

Forlorn

A Poem by Kruppz
"

It’s not just nature’s laws but also man’s nature that can’t be changed. Serenity lies is accepting both; none to be blamed

"

For every time I fell in life and hit the ground

Everyone deserted my life; none left around

Not an iota of faith in me; not a vestige of hope

The world left me treading the streets all alone

           And that’s when only one person stood beside me

           To witness me regain my nerve; to watch me rising

           For he's but far too precious to disclose his identity

           I owe being a fortress for him; to keep protecting

Will be times for sure when your life’s a light of fame

Will be gold-clad admirers too to sing your name

Will be dreary nights, dark times in life as well

When these same moths will bid you farewell

To speak the truth, man needs warmth & to be had faith in;

 Man needs to be cherished too & loved for who he is within

It is, no doubt, the spirit of being a winner to fight for glory;

And the spirit of being a lover to stand till the end of the story

Will always be one person standing beside you

When everyone deserts you to be left feeling blue-

With no iota of faith in you; not a vestige of hope

Will you any longer wonder why winners stand alone?

Can you guess who the person in the second stanza refers to?

There's a quite a few gem lines in here, I especially love the last one "Will you any longer wonder why winners stand alone?" Amazing, just how well it ties into overcoming adversity and rising up. I also especially enjoyed the third stanza, you do a good job at exemplifying the fickleness of glory. If I had to guess at who the person in the second stanza is, I'd say either a religious figure, like God, or someone very close to your heart, like a family member, or lover.

An insight into the nature of leadership and in the way that one person may set an example to others. Not the easiest thing in the world to do but where such a need may arise, there's always someone to take up the initiative. Its what being human is about. Great write!
