All time ever does is pass & all you ever do is remember

I got this prompt from an Instagram poetry contest.

There's something heartwarmingly nostalgic
About everything that doesn't last
You realise the love was always present
When you reminisce things of the past

Through the good, the bad, the ugly
And the problems big or small
You were wrapped around with love
You were carried through it all

Why does the heart always hold on
When nothing does last forever?
All time ever does is pass
& all you ever do is remember

The future, our hearts wonder
The past is meant to be
Reveled in by the heart
An eternally unsolved mystery...
