Finding the Right House Cleaning Service

So now that you have reached a point that the dust bunnies have officially taken over your home, what's your first step? Thanks to the internet it can get overwhelming trying to find a reliable non biased site to search for the perfect house cleaning service. I have tried multiple ones because I am a bargain shopper, and when it comes to my family I want to get the best bang for my husbands hard-earned buck!

First off I tried handy Google, right away three top companies popped up that were local in my area, I tend to go with local businesses and not large companies, just to support my community, I was under the impression that because these companies were at the top that they are the best, but that is not true, I found out that most companies are at the top of the list because they have a great marketing company behind them.

Next I turned to Yelp, I always go to them when making crucial dining out decisions and I have not been disappointed, yet. When I plugged in a few names of cleaning services I was not impressed by what I saw, most of the reviews got filtered and the ones that somehow survived the Yelp filter were so far to the right or so far to the left that I couldn't see this as a reliable source when it came to finding my cleaning service.

A friend of mine told me about Home Advisor, she said she had great luck on their site, so I gave it a try. Within a few minutes I received a few calls from different companies, I didn't feel pressured to book with any of them, and I was able to collect all the information I needed to make a decision. By far this was the easiest method, it can be a little overwhelming with multiple lines ringing at once and having to explain yourself over and over. After the first call I let all the other ones go to voicemail while I created a list of questions to ask, I recommend doing this before starting your hunt.

As with any type of service, it can become a trial and error with your house cleaning service. I have been lucky to find my ideal service on the first try, do not become discouraged the perfect maid is out there. Happy Hunting!
