See what you hearA Story by KristynRuth
Can you paint a picture with just your words?
Can you visualize a portrait from only what you've heard? I see crystal rain falling in a steady stream A gentle hum with hiccups in between An emotional girl huddled In a room hugging a stuffed bear Wishing for the love and affection of her family that's not there She could suck the ignorant bliss out of any happy fool She could take away your smile using her authentic sadness as her tool She didn't want to be this way and she worked really hard to change Nearly a decade passed when suddenly she began to feel the same So terrified of the scrutiny she would surely feel If anyone found out her tears were truly real But why? She had all there was to have at home Beautiful loving kids and a family, she was almost never alone Except on the inside... Oh now there was a scary place Black and rotted with a stench of coldness that hid behind that face Her heart and brains were filled with love for her children of course But the rest of her body space was filled with hate, loathing and remorse Those were the feelings which created the rain on the pane She fought her feelings to the point she thought she was insane Was she selfish? Childish? Why did she act this way? Even a spoiled brat knows what to and what not to say Can you see her? Sitting all alone in the corner? If her heart stopped beating right now, would anyone mourn her? Dead she is, and has been for a while She never made it to adulthood, her soul was murdered as a child © 2014 KristynRuthReviews
