Real HumansA Poem by KristynRuthI love real humans The ones who lie and cheat You can look me in my eye Tell me a story without a blink
I'll nod along and grin And boost your ego as you do But the person you're really fooling Is the real person sitting inside of you
Don't feel guilty While we chat You can tell me the truths As ugly as they are an eye I'll never bat
You say you'd never But yet you have What difference does it make If I know you're a little "bad"
To me it's all relative Don't omit your dark tale When I find out who you really are On our friendship I'll never bale
I'll be glad to know That I am not alone I love people for their flaws Not for their silicone
I love real humans We are all wired the same Why should you have to lie Just to play the game
Judgment seems to be the fear And yes it's very real If we all knew the real people who lives inside How would many of us feel?
So we lie and say we're Betty Homemaker When deep inside you're just a faker
And whose fault is it? I blame society absolutely For we're not allowed to think out loud Without being attacked brutally
Once more I must say I love real humans As bad and dirty as they may be It's good to know I'm not the only twisted one So tell me the truth when you're talking to me © 2013 KristynRuthReviews
