Tree

Tree

A Poem by KristynRuth

I planted roots I never meant to plant

I meant to be a leaf, but I'm a tree that wants to move, but can't

I watch the wind blow, but still I stay

But when I get the chance I try to sway

It's not that I don't love my dirt, I do

But I see the birds singing and sometimes I want to sing too

Oh there is such beauty in this verse I feel the human in me wanting to hear that bird sing. Bravo

Once again my pleasure
The thoughts of a tree. Very unique and creative. Nice little rhyming poem you have penned. I liked this a lot.
