A few Shades off from Gold

A few Shades off from Gold

A Story by Kristin
"

The classic one mans trash is another's treasure, using youth as an individual gold.

"

An old man sits on a park bench, staring

Trying to seek what he use to be.

His youth is like an old rusty treasure chest which can only be spotted by times eye

No one else will value it, this is a treasure strictly for him

suddenly an old rusty Frisbee hits him

He notices a child standing there. The old man asks the child if he would want his Frisbee back. The child replies saying that it is old and rusty and he will get another one anyway so he can keep it. He thanks the child and breathes in slowly and thinks of his younger days. The child asks why he wants to keep the old Frisbee and he replies rust is only a few shades off of gold and smiles.
