Mood Swinger

Mood Swinger

A Poem by Kristen Mae
"

For my fiance. Even if we fight and occasionally bicker, baby, I love you.

"

This ring upon my finger
Reminds me I am his

For when the darkness envelopes us
I’ve forgotten who he is

My lover, my dreamer
My struggling darling fighter

But when the times darken
And the arguing begins to start

My feeble mind begins to wander
And feel as if I should depart

My poet, my singer
My wonderful mood swinger

But as I hold him in my arms
And kiss the top of his head

I remember why I lay here
And swear love ‘till I’m dead

My bear, my swimmer
My strong fighting protector

For even when times are rough
And even when I feel no more

I love him until the end
The simple promise, my love swore
