A Note For You

A Note For You

A Poem by Kristen Mae
"

written during Cultures class

"

15 minutes
thoughts left over
a class merely lingers
longer than the heartache
of a student, attention
constantly lingering.

So I write you a letter
of my sweet devotion
in words constantly spoken
terrified to never awaken

Love
the thought of my day
always for you
time slowly ticking
so I write you this letter
of my gentle confusion

10 minutes remaining
discussion in hand
work to turn to
of false concentration
a verse for you
rather than
a line for class
these simple words
returned for yours
excitement settles
patiently awaiting the ring

5 minutes to dwindle
slowly by
almost time to leave
thoughts always for you
yours never for me
eternal
everlasting

I whisper you my dreams
shuddering as I break free
from my own entanglements
hope for you
for love I seek
never for me
words you don't seek

I love you
I love you
I love you

0 minutes
time to leave
a note for you to read

I love you
I love you
I love you

Wonderful. This reminds me of when I was a junior in high school. I was in love with a senior and I was so afraid to tell him I liked him. You took me back to that time in perfect clarity. I felt what I did then and I had the image in my head so perfectly...truly amazing. You have talent. good work. :)
This one is definately going in my favorites.
