Anti American dream

Anti American dream

A Poem by Kristen

The dawn is breaking the light is coming

But do not regain hope

For remember that at the end of the day

The dark will come again

You can't prevent it

You can't hold it back

It is mourning

The sun is stretching its arms out to you

Traveler be warnd do not trust the light

The sun is hight but take care

Though it's rays beat so warmly down

It's caressing embrace holds you close

You can't prevent it

You can't hold it back

The sun is failing

Did you take my warning?

The suns bright arms leave you

Leave you in the cold

The embrace is gone

Can't you feel it?

It turns its face away from you

And looks to find a new victim

Don't bother with pleading

Don't bother with begging

You can't prevent it

You can't hold it back

The sun is gone

Your hopes are crushed

Next time take warning

Do not trust the light
