3- The Undeserved KindnessA Chapter by Kristan A. MohammedFollows the male persona and his struggles to let go of the past.Like a shepherd, Searches out his missing sheep, Yielding his sleep to find the one that’s left behind.
Like a father, To his sworn oath unbound, Thank you for crumbling every solid ground I've stood upon.
Like a weapon, Forged from the finest steel, Invents the wounds that feel they can never be healed.
Like the raindrops, Fall to hydrate the earth, Have you any clue how much it hurts me to believe in you. But somehow I do.
I remember... ... I remember thunder.
I remember cruel words, Knocking on my nerves. Painting my reflection. Itching like smoke that always blows in my direction.
I remember... ...The burning fever... ...I have known... ...The stones you've thrown... ...I have felt... ...The blows you've dealt.
I remember... How the sheep fled, disoriented with dread. Like a child forced to flee its bed.
Though we hold on to sentimental schemes, We must try not to ponder on bad memories. As the heart is influenced by the mind, And the mind is influenced by where it spends its time.
If we try to withhold our disdain, We can finally conquer our temper. Corporeality just may be regained, If only we could let go of the anger.
Maximize the chance for peace of mind. Leave the distance and the road behind.
Still the insanitation will regenerate!
Like a father, Sworn to protect his home, How can he save them from the hell he conjured on his own?
And like a shepherd, Comforts an ailing sheep, Silently knowing he will have to put its heart to sleep.
