![]() ArabesqueA Poem by Kristan A. Mohammed![]() In the mind of an Arabian belly-dancer.![]() I,
was born, to dance, to entertain. All,
eyes fixed, upon, my dreams. As,
the beat I breathe, energized me. The,
rhythm I need, rewrites me.
Seven
veils, of deadly, sweet sin. I
wave, before your lust. I
smell, of sweetened, Arab grace. Bind
my body, my taste, your trust. I
will gyrate my shackled waist. I
am but, an unbroken vase. Splinters,
scattered, in every place. Bow,
to me. Bite, my dust.
Praise,
my feet. Oh,
you fools, my dears. Read,
the words, of my demeanor. Make
me, your Qur’an. Make
you, my believer. Let
your eyes dance with me. Gyrate. Gyrate. Gyrate. Gyrate. Gyrate. Bow
before me. Laud
my wonder. Your
desire. Our
Arabesque fire. © 2015 Kristan A. MohammedAuthor's Note
