Writer's BlockA Poem by Kristan A. MohammedI was having writer's block. So I wrote about it.Inspirations died, Sailed to the other side, Soul in a state of
loneliness.
A poet without a pen.
Thoughts that died away, Ideas that didn’t stay, Heart in a heated haze.
A pen without ink.
Inner voice in silence, Resisting the push of
violence, Creation out of destruction.
Ink without paper.
Erupt a volcanic opus, To burn my writing hand. But hope, hope, hope, That a grain of sand, May settle on my shell, Bid its freedom farewell. So that I may, Produce pearls of poetry
Sit me down in silence, Comb the hairs on my skin. Weave my body into letters, To spell the missing words
within.
Call forth my pain, Awaken Kristan A. Hayne, Are they enough? Set them free.
Inspire me. © 2015 Kristan A. MohammedAuthor's Note
