Safe HavenA Poem by Kristan A. MohammedA riveting poem about love and finding solace.Fleeing from days of yore, But still on a broken bridge. Impotent ropes suspending you falsely, From the haystack of pins below. Foolishly dressed in a stranger's name, And beauty that once was. Resisting surrender to memories of bane, But hope plays games with the heart. What a broken soul she must be, Waking with both eyes closed. Completely oblivious to internal serenity, But I shall awaken her to the reverie of reality, Washed from her eyes. Bleeding nostalgia from the cracks in your heart, Rejecting the hope of happiness. But I can be your confidant, Cause you're not alone in loneliness. Inscribed into the shards of my heart, Are the words flowing through your lips. Like a fountain of desire, Singing to my veins. Forever and for always unwanted, Wherever you may go. But I am the place where you belong, Call my heart your home. Here is where you're the only one. Seek solace within my soul, Surrender to sacred asylum. I'll willingly venture into your unknown, And battle the beast for your inner peace. The kiss that locks your lips into me, Weaves my body entwined into you. Find haven in my heart, Take shelter in my arms. Borrow my love at no possible fee, And return it whenever you feel free.
