What it feels like to want something you can never have,

I'm not good, enough,

Born to be abandoned.

I'm sorry, its tough,

I live in his reflection.

So my deadly sin is envy.

My jealousy.

I like her, she laughs,

She waves in my direction.

One moment, I had,

Then I look back to see,

All she sees is right through me.

A bird is driven by its wings,

A man is driven by his heart.

No one is more deaf, 

Than he who WILL not hear.

Sorry for all the things that could not be.

I felt like shedding a tear while reading this. I, too, was once or twice an emotional casualty of the inner war that is unrequited love. It is a heavy burden to carry. Most of the time, I suffered in silence for fear of being seen as a desperate, lovesick nuisance. It's very hard, but we get through it. We MUST get through it, or it will destroy us. Beautiful piece. Thank you for this. =]
