Trophy

It was just a year ago,
When we were driving,
Down the same dirt road,
When you said baby,
You're really gonna be great one day,
Everyone would say,
I'm your perfect trophy wife,
But they didn't know you'd leave me,
For the rest of my life

You said I was your trophy,
Showing me off,
For everyone to see,
But then you left me,
Well once again,
Baby I'm shining brightly,
Well honey you can't have this trophy

Well let's flash back,
To where we are right now,
And baby would you just take a bow,
Take a look at what you threw away,
Tell me do you wish you had stayed,
Cuz I know you miss,
All of this,
Well don't try crawling back,
Cuz I'm up higher than you'll ever be

You said I was your trophy,

Author's Note

Okay so I hope you like it! And now it's time for the back story :P Okayy so a little over a year ago at the end of 7th grade we had a lame little award ceremony thing. At that time I was with my first boyfriend and I sat with him during the awards. I won I think 4 awards which was like the most anyone got, and everyone was telling my boyfriend that I was like his trophy wife. I thought it was all pretty lame but he seemed really proud of me! Anyways, after that we didn't really last too long, maybe almost a month or so. And last year, at the end of 8th grade, we had another award ceremony. On the bus ride to school that morning, I was thinking about the year before and I decided to write a song about it. I know it's pretty lame :P but I hope you like it anyway!!! :P <3
