This is a song I wrote a while ago about my ex and me kinda imagining what would I would say if he asked me out again. I hope you like it! The hidden message is: Can't make the same mistake again <3

The windy leaves of fall,

Flying all around our feet,

As we stand together in the breeze,

We finally made our move,

And met each other,

Right at halfway,

In case we need to leave,

But I'm hoping you'll wanna stay

Well baby I'm glad that you called me,

I'm glad you said you're sorry,

But baby I can't,

Make that mistake again,

I know you might have changed,

But baby it'll never be,

The same way again,

I just can't love you again

It's not that I don't want to,

I really do wanna love you,

But if anyone knows,

It'll be the end of me,

Everybody keeps warning me,

Don't go back to him anymore,

But baby I don't know,

If I can trust myself for sure

Author's Note

So ya I wrote this song a while ago and at the time I was kind of had mixed up emotions because me ex was like horrible and all of my friends would probably kill me if I started liking him again. But at the same time for some reason I just couldn't help myself, and I don't know why cuz he's like really gross hahha.. but ya one day on our bus I was thinking about everything and we drove past where we used to meet halfway between our houses and I imagined up this whole scenario where he like called me one day and apologized and said he changed and I had to make the decision of whether or not I should forgive him or go back with him and stuff.
