This is a song I wrote a while ago about how the guy I liked had a girlfriend who treated him like crap and everyday I wanted to help him. The hidden message is: I'd never hurt you like that <3

Help You Back Up

Well baby do you like the abuse,

And all that she puts you through,

She treats you like,

You were never there,

While all the people stare,

And stop to watch the show,

Well I want to cut right in,

Cuz I don't want you hurt again

You've been pushed around,

And knocked to the ground,

While all the world is watching,

But you don't care cuz she's right there,

Kicking you off your feet,

While your one true love stands in the crowd,

And wants to help you back up,

But she's to scared, cuz your girl's over there

As she walks away,

With a little smirk on her face,

You start to question her ways,

And I come over,

With a helping hand,

Cuz I'm not scared any long,

But as soon as you get back on your feet,

She knocks you back down again

You've been pushed around,

But you don't care cuz she's right there,

This has gone on too long,

She's looking down at you proud,

Well I break through the crowd,

And stand up for you,

She pushes me down to you

Author's Note

Heyy so as you can get from the song the guy I like has been through some abuse. And you might think this song isn't literal. Well it is. With the first girlfriend he had, the one time he stole one of the books out of her locker as a joke and she literally ripped the book out of his hand and shoved him onto the floor. And let's just say that happened a lot. His next girlfriend's thing was that whenever she was mad at him she would grab his arm and bite it. I know this seems extremely crazy but he actually has scars all over his arms from when she would bite him. Now I have no idea why he would date them but this is pretty much a song saying that if he was with me I would never treat him as horribly as his other girlfriends had. Hope you like it! :)
