when two or more come togetherA Poem by Krista LaraineSometimes ghosts appear in unexpected places and leave me to tears. They visit on their own terms- perhaps they are invoked by more than one random thought. And I am always found waiting on the floor, searching for his footprints. You are with me now, headed north on 7 while a few miles to the south, someone is rediscovering the films that are still knit together by shakes, by fuzzy lines, by often indecipherable footage. Yet it does not matter, because all of your words are memorized. Streetlights pass. And that salty sting in my eyes I will continue to deny until I can no longer see the road. © 2008 Krista LaraineReviews
