Annabel Lee (song lyrics)

Annabel Lee (song lyrics)

A Poem by Krista Laraine

Lie down with me tonight
In this casket made of glass
I want to be your
Annabel Lee

This love
This love
I want to hold
I want to breathe again
From your lips, crimson by a steady rush
As mine are silent and cold to the touch

Take me away from here-
From this land of darkness,
This forgotten shore.
I am at the edge of the world
Calling out your name once more

Remember me
Remember me
Here, in this sepulchre by the sea
Time has forgotten you and I-
And all our vows of eternity

I am waiting
I am waiting
The star has burned down and died
Make me shine again, in Heaven
I will lie down by your side
My love, my long lost constellation

Bring me back to your perfect light
From this casket made of glass
I want to be your
Annabel Lee

And let the angels cry tonight.
