Your Life's Lullaby

Your Life's Lullaby

A Poem by Kris
"

This is what happens when my brain subconsciously combines real life events, Beowulf, and Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler. I have no idea how I feel about this poem. Read as a song.

"

Death comes

silently waiting in the shadows.

But rest easy, my dear friend.

I will be here beside you,

singing your life’s lullaby.

It remembers your tale of how you slain the Demon

and banished the Darkness.

It remembers your confrontation against the Dragon.

Oh, how bravely you stood your ground.

Now Death caresses your face,

claiming you as one of his own.

Go, and never fear, this breath will not be your last.

Sleep well, and I will greet you at the Dawn,

singing your life’s lullaby.

An inspired piece of writing.....Isn't it odd how these words come to you?...They knock on your door and you let them in.....This is great

This was lovely, I could see everything happening, a shaddowy hand stroking your chin, a strong protector keep you strong. Great job Kris!
God Bless:)
