It Saddens me...

It Saddens me...

A Poem by Krisna Chatelain

It saddens me.

Too see this much stupidity around the world. Living around people that have lost their humanity, sold their souls to the devil and are deprived of faith. Faith in themselves.

Their deepest emotions are filled with material needs, and their hearts have become rock. They do not feel.

Like animals we compare ourselves but even a dog knows compassion.

Like cannibals they have fed. Fed into one another, not for starvation but for greed and power.

Therefore the eyes do not lie. The eyes are the window to the soul, where resides your true self.

And it saddens me.

To see them so sad behind that crooked smile, sad behind the veil, behind that mask that they put on. Pretending to BE when BEING is present.

With their absent mind focused on the lies.

The lies that have been taught to us by us, as a result of choosing to believe in facts rather than facing yourself. And so we continue to demand the physical because it is easier than to believe in the spiritual. And when I speak of the spiritual I am not referring to God. As we believe in god, for we need to believe in something as we slowly loose our faith to ourselves as SOULS.

We live in constant denial of our soul PURPOSE in this world and take life for granted. Nothing is granted to us. We were not put onto this earth we grew with it. It is not ours, we belong with it. We are made of this universe just like this universe is made of us. We are all connected. And so whatever you do against it will come back to you. Whatever you do against its beings, will also come back to you. We have allowed ourselves to get so lost into this egoistic system that we no longer can see who we are anymore.

And it saddens me.

We have forgotten how to be alive for the sake of acquisitions. Thinking that the material will fill the emotional. Your emotions are yours. Yours only. So are your thoughts.

Thoughts, which we do not yet fully understand their origin; come and go bringing with them emotions. You might not be able to control your emotions but you sure can control your thoughts. And before you do anything, you have to think about it.

Well ignorance has invaded our thoughts. We can no longer think for ourselves because everything that is taught to us has been just an illusion. Our stupidity has allowed us to become puppets, in a racing game where the rules are simple: the faster you get there, and the more things you can collect on he way, the more points you will have, and the more points you have the happier you will be.

But then you fall. And you wonder where is that happiness I was racing for, collecting things for, accumulating points for.

So as you run to work every morning, juggle through the day, and come home exhausted to an angry partner and crying children and just want to shut the world off and go to bed, you suddenly realise.

You were on auto- pilot. You were never awake.

You forgot to wake up and smell the garden, admired the sky, smiled at a stranger, kissed your love one and laughed with your children. All the things that makes one alive, loved and accepted. Which is all what we linger for.

There is no final destination as life is not a race with a prize at the end. There’s no winner no looser. It is not a competition. It is not a battlefield and no one has to die for the greater good of the other. The real fight is against our own selves. The urge to make it, to fit in, to be accepted, to be loved and to be respected.

Yet how can you seek the respect of others if you don’t respect yourself?

How do you selfishly demand to be loved when you do not love yourself?

How do you want to be accepted when your judgment is almighty?

Furthermore how in the name of the universe could you possibly fit in when you think you don’t belong here?

So how will you make it, if from the beginning you are wrong?

Well…it all just saddens me.

Knowing that you and only you have the power to be happy. Happier than you could ever be, if only you could see what lies beyond the lies.

The truth has a mind of its own and the truth doesn’t lie. The truth is freedom, and is it freedom the real power.

That power is inside of you, dormant like a volcano until you awaken the sleeping beauty that will make the soil fertile, and so, virgin to a new beginning.

Nature does what it has to, to survive. Yet nature doesn’t think. We are the intelligent being capable of changing and adapting, but our ignorance is encyclopedic.

We are fools and inhumane and it just saddens me.
