Who am I to live? A life I don’t have Who am I to shout? In a silence night Who am I to cry? For something that’s not mine Who am I to act? When there’s no proven fact Who am I to believe? I have better to give Who am I to envy? When I can live simply Who am I to discriminate? Someone so perfect Who am I to judge? Someone I am not Who am I to be? Someone who’s not me
Who are we indeed....I usually get a glimpse when I read what I have written. What did you see of yourself in this one?

We tend to live the all american dream , thinking that life is owed to us, that we are better than our neighbor, judging and condemning others thinking it is our job to do so. Only to wake up one day and realize it was all a scam. So again, i am just human, i make mistakes but i learn everyday.

I agree...the most difficult thing to be is ...ourselves and in the moment
I like the flow of questions. Life will test us often. Hard to know who we are sometime. I like the poetry that leave the reader with questions. This poem did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
