Thoughts

I believe in the mind 

 It's the light of your path 

 A guidance, A god 

 It's the inhumane sensation that let's you create an escape

 It's the mechanism and the secrets that it holds 

From your brightest days to your darkest nights 

It's the thought of thinking, of constantly thinking and analyzing everyone else's way of thinking and behaving. 

Wether it is good or bad behavior 

Wether it is the violence created by the same men who makes the rules and sets an example, 

 Or by the care and compassion of another towards an idea of a solution 

It is the life we live, living by the rules, created for us and by us 

Conforming to the betterment for the worst 

Consuming the world, cashing it, and leaving it rot under out feet thinking it’s ours to mistreat

 While our minds swallow the toxic waste from the food we eat to the brainwashing 

It is the mind And your control over it

 It is your cure to addiction 

 The answer to success 

 The key to happiness

 It is the little things that we love, 

The undefined appreciation for the pleasures of life, life as a whole and life on this earth.

It is indeed our emotions

 Our loss and our griefs, 

 Our constant disappointments

 The fears turned to anger 

 And the anger to violence, rather than Fears turned to passion

 The Passion to compassion

 It is the choices that you make on a everyday basis

 By the job you have to the suit you wear

 It is what you selfishly decide to do with your life, one life, the only life you got, 

While someone else's end is so sudden.

 It is again the importance you give to the meaningless and the amount of time spent spending on the material

 It is the blossom of matter

 The energy, The urge for connections

 It is your non acceptance of synchronization 

Your fear of life and death, and resurrection 

So much that your belief in god is higher that the belief in yourself 

You, that small grain of sand, that insignificant matter exist, and within you

 A universe of its own 

 Yes the mind, beautiful mind

 A mind that is understood and interpreted 

 A connection between energies 

 A spark of enlightenment,

 A smile 

 A touch, 

The acknowledgement of another 

 It is the mind, 

 The positive harmony in your life

This is the sort of poem that when first read, can seem to do no wrong.

Especially since the first time you read it, you have questions which need answered.

In fact, sometimes you have answers that you can't speak.

This poem both answered my questions and spoke my mind.

It revealed a core truth within myself, which I couldn't bring to surface.

Something so deep; unique, yet impersonal; that I could only speak in circles trying to explain.

If that is the intention of poetry, to bring to light the truth, then this poem has surely achieved that.

On the second read, I found it becomes more complex.

It answers more questions, and, it provokes new questions.

Questions regarding the existence of God, truth, and who you are as a writer.

After posting this, I will read it a third time, and believe it could only get better.
