Shes Always in the Center

Shes Always in the Center

A Poem by Krishna

Charitably humble,
            Like an imprisoned bloom,
You have nothing left to offer but beauty
The flower of your heart can taste
The next stage of life as you
Offer the world the nectar of your source
It is a path all women must take
To leave the darkness of home
And stand in the light of your own attraction
Waving your hands in farewell
To your first family – excited
To embark upon the creation of your own
The dreamily royal duty that triumphs
Over all other instincts, the mother-wish
Of all actions possible in existence
The air scented with your sweetness
Charitably discriminating of the masculinity
Of the cities and jungles all around
Facing the journey of life with equal eyes
A courage of cloaked slyness and mutability
Not faltering but carrying the people
To their new destination of life-affirmation
Ready as a loaf of bread, to be eaten by the hungry.
