TearsA Poem by KrisKI read a quote from Mother Teresa and this poem is what it inspiredShe once said, “More tears are shed over answered prayers, Than unanswered ones.” (Mother Teresa) She knew tears, witnessed tears, Manifested tears in being the feet of love. Held tears, contained tears, Even washed with them. Tears lubricate the journey. They are part of the downstream. Agony, pain, distress. Pure anguish and sadness are the chemistry, the elements. She stepped in. She wasn’t ever afraid to ask, to plead, to be a chemist, Mixing elements, dirt, love. Un-prayers: unspoken and/or unanswered… They are like water in a pan. It is there, it sits, Eventually evaporates, But besides that, Uncovered " about all it will do is collect dust. But turn the heat on. Allow healing. Allow. Ask, invite, expect. Change occurs. Water becomes steam, Vapors, tears. Water flows downstream. Let the rivers flow. Tears are water. They can only flow downstream. Let the tears flow. Her knowing about tears - Didn’t stop her from asking and expecting. It is not going to stop me either. © 2011 KrisK |
