lushly on the bayouA Poem by Christie Mosesyour dark sails skim my cheek fluttering with every beat like destiny spools unwinding into the shimmering lakes at night capturing a wayward wind great wide sails semi spoken
to taste that wild breath caught tangled in my hair sweet as the motion of kiss exhaling to the heat of a desert drifter stealing my cells and the shadows in my soul brush my lip with your eyes taste the avenues of my burning descent speak low in murmurs of midnight two a.m. the way you speak of rain like its essence can be explained the way you smile like the sun itself consumed your skin
something in the way you move calls to me calls so deeply to me as your dark sails skim my cheek and my heart flutters like feathers in your palm © 2011 Christie MosesFeatured Review
