Unchained on tangerine dusk

Unchained on tangerine dusk

A Poem by Christie Moses

palomino heart
run free

embrace sweet ecstasy
transient blood
let it taste you
like a fresh face
wear it like a new skin
let it seep bone deep
wild one
let it steal your pain
don’t let them cage you

fly free
run

palomino heart

let the sweat flow
dance
in the sunlight shine

you were born to be
like summer rain on my face
you were born to be
like mans hands on my thighs
touching me deep
like sin and stain
burrowing in
to infinity

fly….
fly with powerful legs

across the plains of my dreams
across the secrets of my heart
toss my emotions
to crooked chaos
and fly
my vagabond

no fences
to batter your heart
but free
to ride high
against a purple sky
unfettered midnight

run
run free

against an ocean wall
let the spray take you
palomino heart
untamed
achingly lovely

run free
but please
run always back to me….
my heart is wide open
unencumbered
waiting

you mesmerize me
beautiful palomino heart

A good Palamino makes for one of the prettiest creatures alive; oftentimes of unknown breading, too...loved for color, spirit, high mindedness and grace.

What an excellent metaphor for the wild freedom of the heart. Your words are crisp, meaningful, delightful and still homespun.

Nice work...!!

The metaphor is graceful and strong and very romantic. Horses have always been very masculine symbols to me and maybe its becasue all the women in my family were such horse people and the muscle and the historical context. Great writing I love this

Your skill in the use of metaphors is amazing........this could be about a horse or a wild heart.....very beautifully written.

Oh, this poem is delightful in its cadence and form. There is that erotic, sensuous thing about it that makes it so tantalizing. However more than anything else it is true, unconditional and generous love that shines through it.

wow....you remove Palamino from this poem completely and it becomes very erotic. it has that erotic flavor to it even with the theme of a beautiful horse. this is an excellent piece that isn't written well it is crafted to perfection. an amazing writer you are miss.
