Unchained on tangerine dusk

Unchained on tangerine dusk

A Poem by Christie Moses

palomino heart
run free

embrace sweet ecstasy
transient blood
let it taste you
like a fresh face
wear it like a new skin
let it seep bone deep
wild one
let it steal your pain
don’t let them cage you

fly free
run

palomino heart

let the sweat flow
dance
in the sunlight shine

you were born to be
like summer rain on my face
you were born to be
like mans hands on my thighs
touching me deep
like sin and stain
burrowing in
to infinity

fly….
fly with powerful legs

across the plains of my dreams
across the secrets of my heart
toss my emotions
to crooked chaos
and fly
my vagabond

no fences
to batter your heart
but free
to ride high
against a purple sky
unfettered midnight

run
run free

against an ocean wall
let the spray take you
palomino heart
untamed
achingly lovely

run free
but please
run always back to me….
my heart is wide open
unencumbered
waiting

you mesmerize me
beautiful palomino heart

A good Palamino makes for one of the prettiest creatures alive; oftentimes of unknown breading, too...loved for color, spirit, high mindedness and grace.

What an excellent metaphor for the wild freedom of the heart. Your words are crisp, meaningful, delightful and still homespun.

Nice work...!!

This is very evocative -

like mans hands on my thighs
touching me deep
like sin and stain

Metaphorically fantastic writing, Christie. The imagery of a gallant horse or lover running free with th wind with flowing mane oer the plains to the sea and returning to thee, always, is such a tribute to either.

Excellent writing!

What a beautiful wildness you create in this vivid, longing write. Reflections here of all that is alive and free... freeing you...
