Am I Wrong?

Am I Wrong?

A Poem by Kane Hagwood

I must question

My own intention

Is it wrong to feel the way I do

What if I am wrong

And ruin our song

Unable to do what I was supposed to

But if notes greet as one

Dance under moon and sun

Then I will know that it is true

Why am I so shy

To face this truth or lie

Hoping hope doesn’t turn blue

Not wanting to offend

I can’t help but pretend
There may be more to you

Like a silent fox
I’ll avoid those talks
Maybe its best you never knew

Thank you for stopping by for the review, Ken. I really do appreciate it :)
Enjoyed the read. Shyness can be such a curse. Especially if others are shy too. A sprinkling of courage can be a blessing. Nicely composed poetry.

I like "if notes greet as one"--Sharp line there.
So often the Fox really wants to communicate to us, but they are such shy animals.
Humans can be just as shy.

That sentiment, to love without hoping for love in return, is to me -- even now -- very strange, even if it occurs so often. Emotionally weighing, the uncertainty flavoured with loving passion decorates the poem as a great piece to read and relate to at times. Thank you for sharing your work, author Kane Hagwood.
