To reap what one sows

To reap what one sows

A Poem by M.a. Benjamin
"

Wrote this in a matter of minutes. Not sure if it's any good but i wanted to write something, so i wrote this.

"

To reap what one sows

Is a trial not easily passed

There is consequence of action

Mixed like a cocktail with what might have been

There is an ache in the brain

A Torment gnawing like a dog at one’s heart

There is disbelief in grief

A Pain that runs like blood through one’s veins

There is no compassion for the wicked

No remorse for one’s deeds

To reap what one sows

Is the gavel of fate, and judgment passed

An interesting piece. You've managed to lyrically bundle up a score of truths, a rare skill. Nice work.

"No remorse for one's deed"
An absolutely beautiful line (and very true).
I enjoyed reading this piece.

"Mixed with a cocktail with what might have been" Yes, and compromising what already is for what might have been is a risk we all take. Is it worth it? I don't know, the ache in my brain and the gnawing at my heart won't go away. I love this. It fits my life so well right now......

To reap what one "sows"
There is "disbelief" in grief

I can't say what it is, but I like it!'

I really dwelt on
Mixed like a cocktail with what might have been.

Wow!!
