The Furnace

The Furnace

A Poem by M.a. Benjamin
"

I wrote this quite a while ago, maybe 4 years or so. I figured i'd post it.

"

A given test to fail in faith

A friend that never was

Forced to ditch a life in loathing

with no effort required at all

this hate is so furious

it could ignite the world

Nothing would be so glorious

let it run red forever

you can take that piece of mind

and f**k it

Nice! In my own way I have felt this ... as I am sure we all have.

Oh man, I love this. I can definitely relate to the fury within these words.

ouch! I want to go back to the campfire now. Ha. Unfortunately not everyone or everything survives being "tried in the fire". Nice poem.

Let it run red forever!!

Nothing captures emotions better than poetry because language is man's best tool...and you sure have used it masterfully!

a furious mindland is indeed a fearful thing...always appreciate alliteration...power packed and tightly wrapped...

I feel like this is about throwing religion away.
a belief in it, perhaps.

but I'm way off, I'm dead sure.
