A Poem by M.a. Benjamin

 To pay no mind

To a mind at all

But oh what a terrible waste

To bite one's tongue

Drowned in a swallowed breath

To some be a wonderful taste

To press an insistence

Or perhaps in assistance

Both be done in great haste

To pay for this all

And find After all

The conundrum that's come to be faced

Very clever write. "To press an insistence" was my favorite line. This piece makes me think of all the hopeless people out there (myself included) that just can't catch a break. There's always going to be a misunderstanding, a lack of something needed, and too much of something useless. Aye.

This is intense and gives a claustrophobic feel! Which is great:)
The spirit broken, always facing whats to come, eeriely done! Great poem xx

I love this, i had to read it through a couple of times to get it all in, its very fast paced, but it flows well. Still not entirely sure what it means but thats the mark of good poetry, being able to delve deeper and take away something new every time you read over it.

Great piece :)

At first I read, "to be someone's wonderful taste"

this was so well written, short and to the point.

so many of the little lines are sticking with me.
