Jitters and thoughts

Jitters and thoughts

A Poem by M.a. Benjamin

Perplexities indeed cloud a crippled soul

Don't say the end is unclear and unknown

The clock is ticking way too fast

These lives we lead could never last

And so it goes like a fading shore

An end to a beginning

A crust around our core

A part to the whole that's never perceived

Anything and everything you'd ever need

Let our hearts beat from out of our chest

Like wasps emerging from out of a nest

To leave it be and never see

What should have been but can never be
