And then the rain cameA Poem by M.a. Benjamin
They tell you it'll be okay
But who are they? You pace and wonder why it has to be this way No-one has an answer But consolation is as thick as honey Anxiety has cracked you like an egg Your brain is scrambled up Retracing your footsteps you've led yourself to a foreign place where every print stains the filthy ground..... And then the rain came to wash it all away The anger, the pain, and all the dismay and when your mind runs clear as water not a single thought astray You can take your breaths and baggage and prepare for another day
