Behind the HorizonA Poem by Xberg
I saw it blink it's red eye,
Slow and calming through that frigid winter. From miles the edifice had watched, A first tired heave in its dominion. It's grace and terrible construction, Were beautified by new eyes bleary. In darkness stood there fierce and bright, Like moonbeams bounced on satellites, The bold Sarcophagus of warning, Dawning as the century passed. Through the frost bit station's steps, We two exhausted lovers traipsed. I watched you words caught frozen, In the air above your lips, And shadows in your golden hair. © 2018 Xberg |
