The BluesA Poem by Kathrine RethornAll the different kinds of blues and their meaning“I’m feeling blue.” She thought to her self. But I'm not feeling the blue that bogs you down I’m not sulking in a solemn haze of sobriety I haven't been caught in melancholy’s malicious web No I’m feeling the blue hues of the loving morning sky The determined azure dedicated to her practice I am the empowered embodiment of the raging sea The teal waves whispering calmly among the shore I am a wall of light that protects The pale and translucent that inspires “I’m feeling blue,” She thought once more And I’d prefer nothing else
