![]() Beautiful MindA Poem by Kathrine Rethorn![]() The view of a depressed pessimist. Surround yourself with beauty, even though you feel like s**t.![]() Today the sky screamed a striking blue. The trees that towered above and the grass she used as a bed seemed to vibrate with life. Birds sang melodiously. Everything seemed so alive! From the cotton white clouds above to the tadpoles that thrived in the water. The only one lacking life or animation was her. She was a simple two-dimensional slab on this sphere considered life. A mistaken stroke the artist in the sky regretfully brushed on their canvas. While the world continued to revolve in its orbit and as time quickly ticked away on clocks that seemed to make up the faces of her demons. She Remained still. Never moving; afraid to give the devilish hounds a victim to chase. Today the animals cheered and danced for spring. The wind whispered through the busy forest carrying the sweet crisp scent that told of coming rain. Tulips bloomed beside her, stretching their petals towards the warm embrace of the ever-shining sun.
