The Golden Girl

Short Story

There was a poor village where the winter was fierce and unforgiving many had nothing. No crops and no ways to make money. The whole village gave up hope all except one. A girl around nine with no shoes and a ratty dress never did she always hoped and wished for better. One day she went down to the river to bathe she decided to float in the water a big looking up at the sky as the clouds rolled by. Minutes ticked and when she got up she tripped on a rock and fell on her bottom. She saw something sparkle in the water and decided to investigate. She found a gold ore she dug in the muddy bottom and found more. She ran back to the village and told all She was the girl never lost hope and gave it back to her village.
